Fat Tire Fun

What a great first trail ride with the fatty.   Learned several things, have a lower tire pressure for better grip and it does not hurt too bad when you bail in the snow.  Rode a bit with Chris and then Ran into Steve D.  We rode around the North side. We even made some first tracks on the tree section by the houses.  What a great time.  I wanted to keep ridding but my body was saying it had enough.

Yes it finally made it.  Took it around the hood yesterday and it was a blast.  Almost wiped out twice as I plowed through deep drifts of snow.  It just floated around,  it was sweet.  Cant wait to take it down to Tranq.  Will be down there Sunday afternoon  to have some fun...

Cross bike for sale

Well I guess skinny nobbie tires are not for me,  I like the fatter type.  So I am
selling this fine cross bike for 500\offer.  It is a Felt 35x, 2009,  has shimano 105 components
and is a size 53.   

Poderosa Ride

Heading west on Dutch Hall road in a stiff head wind. With the hills and the wind,  it really
made the legs burn. The hill I remember the most was the one by the dump.  Right when you thought you were at the top you would look up and see another hump.  On the way back it was a blast. With the wind at our back we sailed back to the starting point.  Had a great ride.

Sunday Road Ride

 Headed over to Standing Bear Lake for a nice Sunday  ride. Snow on the trail was hard   to ride thru

Saw many people out enjoying the day also.   Trail at the lake was mostly snow packed and wet.  Thought about heading down to Tranq,  but did not know the trail conditions.    Found out later that they were great.  Shoot, o well  I am sure  will get some more snow to crunch around on  :) 

On the way back home I noticed every time a car blasted by me it would kick up a cloud of salty dust that seemed to end up on my lips every time.  A great day for a ride.

Sunday ride in December

Wow, what a day for a ride in December.   It felt like spring and the trail was packed with happy riders.  Hope everybody got out this weekend to enjoy some warm winter riding.  Catch ya tonight at the M.N.R.

All I can say is that the ride was crisp and refreshing..  O ya another thing is that small animals sound big in the dark.   :)

CC work day

Sunday workday at CC was a great success.   We added a bout a mile of new trial and even had time to ride a lap.  That place is awesome.  The new section has some pretty hair raising  descents and climbs, at least for me :)  :)  :) .....  It was really fun working with a group of people creating a new trail for everybody to enjoy.

Calvin Crest

Rode CC for the fist time yesterday and it was totally awesome.  I want to go ride it again...  While we were out there we  did some thoring  :)  and  repaired a bridge that was real rocky.  Chris and Brian were also doing some trail repair  .  Had  a great time.

Weed Wackin

Out cruising with Bob again to today looking for some tall grass to wack.  And yes I did find some. I also learned a few lessons today.  Always bring some bug spray (the blood suckers were out in full force),  have extra wacker string with you,  and make sure your camel bag is zipped up or you will loose some of your stuff, which I did :).  O ya, I took BOB over some log piles today and went over them smoothly.  I was a bit scared at first because I did not know how the trailer would act.  It performed great.

Went for a ride at Standing bear lake with the family.  It so cool watching them spin those little cranks hundred miles per hour.   It was a great  day for a ride.  Have a Great holiday.....

BOB

Went down to Tranq late  today to do some trail work and everybody had already left.  Saw Steve D out there and chatted with him and Cody for a bit. Tested out the BOB trailer and it works great.  A bit awkward when standing up and pedaling  but will get used to it.  It is also different when you  turn,  need  some more practice with it.

Sunday cruz

Met up with Dave, Paul, and Dale for a great ride out west.  There was  pavement and  some gravel.  We had a nice head wind which made some of the hills seem to last for ever.  Had a great ride with friends..

Pre game ride

Hooked up with Dmars on Sunday  and headed North West  on the  normal 15 mile route. We had snow and wind in our face for a little while which made it a great winter ride. Thanks for the ride.  Plan on heading out again next Sunday,  I heard it is going to be 40,  Yaaaaaaa
