Snow Packed Tranq

Headed down to Traq this morning  and guess what I found.  Yep,  Sweet snow packed trails.  It was a beautiful day for riding.  Ran into Paul and Dave and rode some with them..  This has been a great riding winter so far, I hope it stays like this till spring..

Monnday afternoon ride

Had some spare time to burn, so I headed out for a nice easy spin, the trails thru  Standing Bear lake and Waterford are  snow packed and were fun to ride.  I really love this winter so far...........

Windy ride

Met up with Paul, Dave, Brian, and Aron for a few windy laps down at Tranq. It was real windy, but had a great time.  The temp was perfect. Stopped over at the Strats for a nice well deserved recovery drink.  Wont make the M.N.R. tonight, so have a good one..

Sunday ride

Went for a ride on Friday before the game..  Man it was a windy day. Still had a good ride, any day on the bike is a good day.  Heading out to Tranq Sunday afternoon around 12:30 or so for a few  casual laps,  maybe I will catch ya out there..

Tigger

         












Took Tigger out for a spin this morning and mowed a bunch of trail.  It cuts great,  and let me tell you,,, you get real real real dirty.  Had a fun morning.  Celebrating my wife's birthday tonight, so wont make the ride tonight.  So have a good one tonight..........

Damper installed

Well I finally installed the new damper in my fork after having the part for a week.  I  have had several rides with no sign of leaks.  That makes me real happy.  Catch ya out on the trail...........

Chain

Brian's twisted chain after last Monday night ride.  I have never seen one twist like that.. Going down to Traq for a couple tonight. Maybe I will run into somebody........

What a great Monday night ride. The temp was great and the group was a  nice size.  We stopped many times to regroup and enjoy the night.  Stopped over at Strats for a recovery drink.  Thanks for the good night.

Yep in the heat again

Went out with Monday night crew for some riding.  It did not seem as hot as it did on Sunday,  We had a new rider with us and yes I did forget her name Sorry.  Wed did a lap and a half and went over to Strats house for cold one.  Thanks for the brew and the ride....

Tranq Race

Well I attented the Traq race on Sunday with a lot of other crazy  MTB bikers.  Man it was crazy hot and humid, glad I did the Cat 3 beginner race instead  of the Marathon.  Sorry Dmars it was just to hot for me to ride for 3 hours.  After the first lap I decided to just cruse around the course in survival mode all I wanted to do is cross the finish line.  And when I did it was a great.  Had a good time even in the extreme heat.  Thanks for putting on a top notch race...,.

Oil leak

Well I have been messing around with a little oil leak on the lock out knob of my reba fork for awhile now.  I finally took out the motion control lockout assembly,  and took it all apart.  I need a seal that slides into the red housing  and I cannot find one anywhere.  It seems like you have to buy the whole dampener.  you can buy the lockout knob and  2 o rings, but not the seal I need.  I found and o ring that would fit above the seal and installed it.  The lock out knob turns a little harder, but I can live with that if the oil stops leaking..

Heat

Got some saddle time in yesterday, man I need to get use to the heat, it seems to take all the energy out of you.  Ran into this leaner tree on the north side of the creek.  Makes you take the trail thru the stumps or you will get whacked by a tree.

  Looks like someone was having a dawg  roast.
  Hope to ride again tonight...

Wow what a great evening to be out ridding.  The group was large, beer was cold,  food was great.
